It can also commonly be referred to as life sciences or genetic engineering, which involves exploiting cell and tissue culture technologies to produce lots of wonderful things. Depending on the tools and applications, it often overlaps with the (related) fields of molecular biology, bio-engineering, biomedical engineering, biomanufacturing, molecular engineering, etc
