Biography

Dr. Hiroshi Ohrui has completed his PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Tokyo and postdoctoral studies at Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research (Dr. J. J. Fox’s Lab.) and at Syntex Research (Dr. J. G. Moffatt’s Lab.). He worked for Riken and Tohoku University and now a specially appointed professor of Yokohama University of Pharmacy. He has received several awards including The Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry Award and Japan Academy Prize. His interest in science covers synthetic organic chemistry and chiral discrimination. Japan
